Course
Dizzy Daze is held at beautiful Green Lake Park in Seattle, WA. The race uses the OUTER running loop around the lake. Runners will travel counter-clockwise on the outer (dirt) path. The total distance of the loop is approximately 3.2 miles. The trail is a partially paved, pancake flat loop - making it a great
course for a PR or to attempt a new
distance. There
will be one fully stocked aid station, with all the usual fare:water,
GU, NuuN, Fruit, Pretzels, SaltStick Electrolyte Caps, PB&J, Coke,
etc. Tasty hot food will appear later in the day to tempt you to continue
running.
Registration
The cost is $35 for all races as an incentive to run farther.
Registration covers a fully permitted race, full support for up to 12
hours, and various other goodies.
Race Day Schedule
6 a.m. The 100K will be 19 loops with a short out-and-back that will feel much longer than it is.
7 a.m. The 50K will be 10 laps, meaning you get some bonus distance, absolutely free!
8 a.m. The 26.2-mile marathon will be eight laps plus an out-and-back.
9 a.m. The 13.1-mile half-marathon will be four laps plus an out-and-back.
Race Rules
• Please be aware that the trail is open to the public and therefore there will be other traffic – please be respectful of other people on the trail.
• No cheating – cheaters never prosper… and besides that, they will be disqualified.
• We'll keep an eye on you, but the runner has the primary responsibility for monitoring their own health. A runner can be removed from the race at any time due to safety or health concerns.
• No littering.
• If you sign up for the 100K, and decide to stop at 50K, your name can be added to the results of the 50K.If you chose to continue but drop, you will receive a DNF (unless you bring the Race Directors coffee or say very nice things to them).
Pacers
100K racers: If you choose to use a pacer, please do not do so until after the 50K mark and be respectful of other runners who may be trying to pass.
